So When Can We Meet? A Story to Scare Away Potential Suitors
I was sitting at a coffee shop, minding my own business, when a man came up to me and asked if I wanted to get coffee sometime. I politely declined, but he persisted, so I finally agreed to give him my number.

A few days later, he called me and we went on a date. It was okay, but there wasn't really any spark. We went on a few more dates, but I still wasn't feeling it. So, I told him that I didn't think we were a good match and that I didn't want to see him anymore.
He didn't take it well. He started calling me and texting me constantly, even though I asked him to stop. He would show up at my work and at my house. He even followed me home from work one night.
I was starting to get scared. I didn't know what to do. I didn't want to call the police because I didn't think he was dangerous, but I also didn't want him to hurt me.
One day, I was talking to my friend about what was going on. She told me that I should tell him a story about a crazy ex-boyfriend I had. She said that it would scare him away and that he would never bother me again.
I wasn't sure if I believed her, but I was desperate. So, I decided to give it a try.
The next time he called me, I told him that I had an ex-boyfriend who was really crazy. I told him that he would stalk me and harass me, and that he even got a restraining order against me.
He listened to my story with a blank expression. When I was finished, he just said, "Okay." And then he hung up the phone.
I was surprised that it had worked. I thought he would be angry or scared, but he just seemed indifferent.
I never heard from him again. I guess my story did scare him away. I'm glad that I told him, because I don't know what would have happened if I hadn't.
If you're ever in a similar situation, I encourage you to try telling your potential suitor a story about a crazy ex-boyfriend. It might just save you a lot of trouble.
